Two Little Fishies ChalicePower is a concentrated, negatively buoyant blend of dried zooplankton that was specifically developed to feed chalice corals. It is also suitable for a wide range of other filter-feeding invertebrates.

For chalice Corals:

Two Little Fishies ChalicePower is formulated to promote the health, coloration, and growth of chalice corals such as MycediumPectiniaEchinoporaOxypora, and Echinophyllia

  • Negative buoyancy: Unlike some coral foods, ChalicePower is dense and sinks quickly when mixed with water. This characteristic makes it suitable for target feeding, as the food settles directly onto the coral's mucus layer and is consumed by its polyps.
  • Encourages growth and colour: Supplementing a photosynthetic coral's diet with meaty foods like ChalicePower can lead to faster growth and more vibrant colours.
  • Designed for aggressive feeders: Chalice corals have mouths that can consume larger, meaty foods, and this formula provides the necessary nutrition.

For other Invertebrates:

ChalicePower is also an excellent food source for other filter-feeding invertebrates in a marine aquarium.

  • Filter-feeders: It can be fed to a variety of animals, including soft and stony corals, sea anemones, clams, feather duster worms, and tunicates.

How to use

The food is designed for targeted feeding to ensure the coral receives the nutrients directly.

  • Prepare the mix: Mix one part ChalicePower with two parts aquarium water in a cup.
  • Stop water circulation: Temporarily turn off water pumps in the tank to prevent the food from being carried away by the current.
  • Target feed: Use a turkey baster, or a specialized tool like Julian's Thing by Two Little Fishies, to squirt the food mixture directly onto the coral's polyps.
  • Allow time for feeding: Wait approximately 20 minutes before turning the pumps back on to allow the corals time to consume the food. This also helps wash away any remaining particles.
  • Feeding frequency: Feed daily to weekly, but do not exceed a maximum daily usage of 1/4 teaspoon per 45.4 Liters for the entire tank.
