Features include tough durable construction with an easy-open squeeze latch, vents on side walls, an interior moat to keep pets dry and tie-down strap holes on the perimeter for zip-tie installation and extra security during airline travel.
Vari Kennels in sizes X-Small and Small offer a handle, a built-in compartment cover for added storage of treats or other pet needs, and the seat-belt loop is a notch in the top of the kennel so you can secure it in a car.
The Medium Vari Kennel comes with a handle but does not come with the built-in compartment. Vari Kennels in sizes Intermediate, Large & X-Large do not have a handle or built-in compartment.
The Petmate Vari Kennel is easy-to-assemble with no tools required. Includes wing nuts and bolts. For airline travel, the use of wing nuts and bolts is required. Meets most air travel requirements, please contact your airline before travelling for verification of their specific requirements. Made in the USA.

So, what's all the fuss about kennel sizes? Well, imagine your pet trying to stand up, turn around or sit down in a kennel that's too small for him. The best way to select the perfect kennel size for your pup is to measure him from the top of his head to the floor, then from the tip of his nose to the base of his tail. The height of the kennel should be 7.5 to 10cm taller and longer than your pet so there's ample space to fully stand up, easily turn around and comfortably lie all the way down! Too small and your pet will be uncomfortable; too large and your pet might attempt to use the bathroom in his space.
