The GHL Powerbar 5.1D-PAB is an intelligent power strip designed for use with the GHL ProfiLux aquarium controller system, featuring five independently switchable sockets and one dimmable socket, all controllable via the ProfiLux Aquatic Bus (PAB). 

Features and Specifications

  • Socket Configuration: The unit includes five independently switchable 230V sockets and one dimmable 230V socket.
  • Connectivity: It connects to a ProfiLux controller (ProfiLux 3 or 4 models) using the PAB system, which is a reliable CANBUS system, via two PAB ports that allow for daisy-chaining multiple devices.
  • Relays: It uses extremely robust high-inrush current (HIC) industrial relays to ensure the highest level of safety and durability, even with high-powered equipment like chillers or metal halide ballasts.
  • Safety Features: Each socket is protected by an individual fuse, and the unit includes a main switch with an integrated fuse. A fallback fail-safe setting allows each socket to take a user-defined state in the event of a communication problem.
  • Status Indicators: The power bar features status LEDs for communication, operation, and the switching status of the individual sockets, as well as an illuminated GHL logo that provides system status information through different colors and flashing codes.
  • Design: The single-row arrangement and distance between sockets are designed to accommodate bulky power supplies, ensuring simple and tidy cabling. It also has robust side mounting brackets for secure installation.

The GHL Powerbar 5.1D-PAB is an accessory for the GHL ProfiLux aquarium controllers, which perform critical control tasks in aquariums, terrariums, and ponds. The power bar allows the controller to automate essential aquarium devices (pumps, lights, heaters) by providing reliable, automated power management. Configuration and assignment of the PAB devices can be done via the GHL Connect app on a smartphone or through the GHL Control Center desktop software
