The Seachem KanaPlex Treatment for Fish Tanks is a kanamycin-based medication that treats several fungal and bacterial fish diseases (dropsy, popeye, fin/tail rot, septicemia) safely and effectively. Because it is absorbed by fish, it can be used to treat internal infections when food is unavailable. It has no negative effects on the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. It's great for treating bacterial infections in tanks with invertebrates when mixed into a medicated food mix.
Its ideal for use in freshwater or saltwater aquariums and when the treatment period is finished, KanaPlex can be easily removed with activated filter carbon such as MatrixCarbon. It does not linger in the tank's substrate or filter media.
