The Seachem Pond Prime Water Conditioner for Ponds quickly and safely establishes the pond biofilter in new ponds, preventing fish deaths due to insufficient biofilter cycling. Sludge buildup will also be prevented and reduced by Pond Stability. Pond Stability is a pond-specific bacteria blend that contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria that aid in the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Pond Stability bacteria are non-sulfur fixing and do not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Pond Stability is completely safe for all aquatic organisms and aquatic plants, so there is no risk of overuse. Pond Stability is the result of nearly a decade of research and development, and it represents the cutting-edge of natural biological management.
Competing products use bacteria that are inherently unstable. Temperatures, pH, organic loads, and other factors that are required for their growth and development fall within a very narrow range. When any of these parameters is out of range, the bacterial culture quickly crashes and dies. Nitrospira bacteria are notorious for being difficult to cultivate. Pond Stability does not contain any of the bacteria listed above. Pond Stability bacteria strains have been in development for over a decade.
