The CupriSorb removes copper faster and more efficiently than carbon, making it ideal for emergency copper removal. It extracts all types of copper, including chelated copper, and continues to work until it turns a deep blue-black color. It can be regenerated multiple times. If used indefinitely, it will gradually extract even precipitated copper from the gravel/substrate bed. The CupriSorb prevents copper leaching from substrates, allowing invertebrates to be kept in copper-treated tanks.
The CupriSorb is a highly effective copper-specific chelating resin. Competing products are merely cation exchange resins, not chelating products. These resins are effective in removing copper from freshwater but ineffective in saltwater.
