The Reef Octopus REEFTEK TS 1 is an in-sump needle-wheel protein skimmer designed for aquariums up to 300 liters. It is an entry-level model in the Reef Octopus "TS" series (which also includes the TS 2 for 500L and TS 3 for 700L) and is designed to sit inside the sump of a saltwater aquarium.

Function: The skimmer uses a venturi air injection system and a needle-wheel impeller to create a high volume of micro-bubbles, which effectively remove organic waste (protein compounds) from the water column before they break down into nitrates and phosphates.
