Regular price R 1,299.00 Sale price R 659.78

GHL offers a contactless level sensor (also referred to as an optical sensor) designed for use with their ProfiLux aquarium controllers. This sensor detects water levels through the aquarium glass or a container wall without having any parts inside the liquid, protecting it from soiling and corrosion.

Features and Applications:

  • Non-Contact Operation: The primary advantage is that the sensor is installed on the outside of the non-metallic container, meaning it does not come into direct contact with the water or corrosive liquids.
  • Ease of Installation: Simple to mount, typically by sticking it to the glass from the outside.
  • Applications:
    • Auto Top Off (ATO): Used to automatically refill evaporated water in sumps or aquariums.
    • Leak Detection: Can be strategically placed to detect water spills on a surface and trigger an alarm or shut off equipment.
    • Automatic Water Changes: Part of a larger system for automated water changes.
  • Compatibility: Designed to integrate with the GHL ProfiLux controller system and GHL Connect app, allowing for complex control and monitoring functions.
  • Durability: As there are no moving parts, the sensor is generally considered reliable and low-maintenance compared to mechanical float switches.
  • Potential Limitation: The sensor can be sensitive to moisture or residue running down the glass, which might cause false readings if not installed in an appropriate location (e.g., not ideal in a skimmer where the glass is constantly moist)
