Aquatronica Aquarium Controller System Level Sensor
Regular price R 749.78 Sale price R 429.78The Aquatronica system uses a Level Sensor to monitor and control the water level in an aquarium or sump, most often for an automatic top-off (ATO) function. The sensor works with a central Aquatronica controller unit and a specific Temperature & Level Interface.
Aquatronica Level Sensor components
- Sensor: The sensor itself detects the water level, allowing the Aquatronica controller to know when the water has dropped due to evaporation. This triggers a specific program, such as running a pump to add more water.
- Temperature & Level Interface (ACQ210N-TL): The sensor plugs into this dedicated interface, which then connects to the main Aquatronica controller unit via a data cable.
- Aquatronica Controller Unit: The controller unit, such as the Aquatronica Touch Deluxe or Evolution, processes the information from the level sensor and executes the pre-programmed actions. This could be powering a top-off pump connected to one of the system's power units.
- Expansion capability: A single controller system can support multiple power units and up to 20 sensors in total, which allows for multiple level sensors if needed.
How the Aquatronica system works:
An Aquatronica system equipped with a level sensor functions as an automated way to manage water levels.
- Monitor: The level sensor continuously checks the water level.
- Detect: When the water level drops and the sensor no longer detects water, it sends a signal to the Temperature & Level Interface.
- Command: The interface relays the information to the main controller, which then executes the user-defined program.
- Top-Off: The controller sends power to the top-off pump, which starts adding water from a reservoir.
- Stop: When the water level rises and the sensor is once again submerged, it signals the controller to shut off the pump, completing the top-off process
